Life Skills Classes

Making Life Better for Both Ends of the Leash

Puppies and dogs are great...And they can be a lot of work!  Instead of focusing on traditional obedience training, our classes teach life skills for you and your pup.  Rather than repetitions of sits, downs and stays in isolation, these life skills can be practiced and quickly put into use in the real world.  The goal is to create a foundation of learning and communicating that will help your pup be the best that they can be.  Whether you have a new puppy, a new to you dog or an established family member, its always a great time to work on life skills!

If your goal is a brew buddy you can take to the coffee shops, or you want a home buddy to stay in with, these skills will set you and your dog up for success!

Why A Virtual Class?

A virtual class allows you to work on the skills in the place your dog is likely to spend the most time: Your home!  This means fewer distractions so it is often easier for both you and your dog to focus when its time to introduce or practice skills.  Here are some other reasons to consider a virtual, instructor led class:

  • You are getting/ have just brought home a new puppy or dog and they haven't had all their needed vaccines for a class or they haven't been with you for a full two weeks yet.

  • Your pup is very concerned about new experiences so wouldn't be able to learn in a class full of new people and dogs.

  • You and/or your family are busy and it is hard to get you and your dog to a class somewhere else each week.

  • Your pup has an injury or illness

  • Your pup has bad car sickness so getting to a class is very hard on both of you

  • You prefer to learn in the comfort of your own place, but want to be able to ask questions in real-time when learning a new skill.

Individualized Training

Have a specific issue you want to work on?  Or want coaching and support in-person to learn the skills and concepts from one of the classes?  Individualized Training might be the answer for you.  Online options as well as limited in-person options for local clients are available
